The CP System II or CPS-2 is an arcade system board that Capcom first used in 1993 for Super Street Fighter II. It was the successor to their previous CP System and Capcom Power System Changer arcade hardware and was succeeded by the CP System III hardware in 1996.

The 15 Most Graphically Impressive Capcom CPS2 Games

⚠️ All gameplay recording, game curation and opinions included in each video, as well as design or editing is completely done by me

The CPS-2, or Capcom Play System 2, is a motherboard system for arcade machines that debuted in 1993 with Super Street Fighter II. This new iteration of the CPS1 introduced remarkable improvements to the animation, visual fidelity, and sound we could all have wash over us in the local smoky arcade. Beyond mere technological upgrades, the introduction of the CPS 2 came about with improved anti-piracy protocols in place.

CPS-II is one of the most impressive arcade platforms we've ever gotten. Capcom delivered so many gems and very powerful sprite pushers. I am sure that the oldest of you will remember with great nostalgia the CPS2 games for their lavish graphics with a pixel art unthinkable in the home market

In this video you will find:

• A game curation of CPS2 games that serve to justify the technical capabilities of the system
• A description of the CPS2 hardware to help you understand how these video games were made possible
• Info related to each game such as release date, developer company, game genre and system it was released on.
• Official game box arts with a 3D presentation.
• Educative and/or critical comments on the importance of the video game and why you should play it

Bits \u0026 Beats creates videos about the history of video games. In this channel you'll find comparisons, retrospectives, technical analysis, but, mostly, game curations with the idea of having an important task of preserving video games, and make them relevant to society at large.

Curation isn't just about digging up neat games, but it's also about preservation, interpretation, and using one's knowledge to make it relevant to people. With my videos I want older gamers to look back and remember the influence of video games on their lives, and new gamers to understand the larger context of the series they're playing for the first time today.

I put significant time and creative effort into each one of my videos, including research, digging into archives, playing video games and recording hours of footage, selecting specific clips, writing reviews for each title, and making a very careful video editing in the way to transmit both educational and entertaining values to my audience. Every video takes a lot of hours to produce, because I strive to give my audience a consistent, high-quality content.

Fidelity and preservation of the video games is essential in Bits \u0026 Beats, so the recordings are made with the highest bitrate quality. It is done this way to preserve original game look and sound through modern footage, with no superfluous additions. I recommend you watch the video at 4K and 60 frames per second to get the best possible viewing experience.

I hope you enjoy my videos and find them useful!

TG Cid Orlandu : Back in the day the first game that really impressed me was Marvel VS Capcom. It's sad to think it never really got any better than that.
Ophidian Mind : As with your Neo Geo video, this is a showcase of gorgeous pixel art. This is my favorite visual style in video games and I wish more games looked this great and impressive. The visual presentation in Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow Over Mystara has remained particularly impressive to me over the years and it makes me wonder what a metroidvania game or an RPG would look like with a similar visual style. I also like imagining the pixel art and animation that Capcom had mastered in its fighting games from this era being adapted into other styles of games. This visual style is truly something special and I hope more is done with something similar in the future.
suicidebxmber : Dude, I feel like this is a dream come true; yesterday (I think) when I saw the "the most graphically impressive games on the Neo Geo" video
I thought it would be great if it had more technical information about the graphics, like the size of the tiles or their color depth (and even posted a comment about it). So today I couldn't be happier to see this data to better understand the complexity of these achievements. Awesome!
Ana Pau Espinosa Vieyra : I remember playing many of these games in arcades with my sisters, we had a great time both in "cooperative" games (like Alien vs Predator) and fighting against each other like in Marvel vs Capcom or Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤
seerus : Played most of these back in the arcade days. Couldn't tell you how many quarters or hours were spent there. Many good times, many good memories.
